Angahaar Dance Workshop
An Amayaa initiative designed for focused training, exploration and a more immersive engagement with movement and expression.
Structured Sattriya dance education for children and learners seeking strong foundations, thoughtful guidance and a deeper connection with Assam’s classical heritage.
Our programmes introduce technique progressively while helping learners understand rhythm, expression, stage awareness and the cultural context of Sattriya. Every class is designed to support consistent growth rather than rushed performance.

A carefully structured programme for learners who want to study Sattriya with consistency and respect for its technical foundations. Sessions develop body alignment, Mati Akhara, basic positions, footwork, rhythm, hastas, expression and repertoire in progressive stages.
Alongside movement practice, students are introduced to the musical, theatrical and cultural dimensions that make Sattriya a complete artistic tradition.

Children’s training introduces Sattriya through age-appropriate movement, rhythm exercises, storytelling and guided expression. The environment is encouraging and attentive, allowing each child to grow steadily without losing the joy of discovery.
Regular practice can support coordination, listening, memory, confidence and cultural awareness while building a healthy respect for the learning process.
Short-format and intensive sessions allow learners to explore a defined theme, technique or creative process with sustained attention.

An Amayaa initiative designed for focused training, exploration and a more immersive engagement with movement and expression.
Focused training for learners who want to refine the essential building blocks of Sattriya with greater clarity, strength and control.
Includes: Posture correction, footwork, rhythm practice and movement combinations.
Ideal for: Students looking to strengthen their regular dance practice.
Discover how gesture, gaze, emotion and narrative come together to create a meaningful and memorable stage performance.
Explore: Hastas, facial expression, eye movement and character interpretation.
Outcome: Greater confidence, connection and depth in performance.

Online classes provide guided access for learners who cannot attend in person. Sessions focus on visible correction, foundational practice, rhythm, theory and repertoire suited to the learner’s available space and experience.
Because classical dance benefits from direct observation, online admission may begin with a short interaction to understand the learner’s level, goals and technical setup.
Tell us who the learner is, what they wish to explore and whether they prefer in-person or online learning. Amayaa will guide you to the most suitable available programme.
Share the student’s name, age, location and previous dance experience, if any.
Discuss the appropriate programme, current batch timing and learning format.
A brief introductory interaction or trial may be suggested where appropriate.
